Hydrovault offers high-capacity sewerage and stormwater storage systems or Retention systems, which are made of fiberglass polymer using a unique chop hoop filament winding technique. These systems are compatible with most stormwater treatment systems and can store almost
all types of effluent due to their corrosion-resistant coating. There are two types of high-capacity retention and storage systems designed by Protector. The Horizontal Storage Tank systems are constructed from fiber-reinforced polymers and built using the chop hoop filament winding construction technique, providing a long-lasting solution.

  • INLET DIVERSION WEIR

    The inlet diversion weir of the
    EcoProtector generates a smooth
    fluid path to a vortex funnel, allowing for superior pollution removal from stormwater inflows.

    INLET VORTEX TUBE

    The Ecoprotector’s Inlet vortex
    funnel creates a seamless laminar
    centrifugal flow path that helps the separation of various pollutants before transferring into the storage chamber.

    OUTLET RISER:

    The Ecoprotector features an outlet riser that is integrated into the outlet and bypass duct, providing added strength and durability to the device.

  • TRASH AND SLUDGE
    PUMPOUT ACCESS

    The Ecoprotector is easily maintained due to its trash and sludge pumpout access, providing easy and efficient access for regular maintenance and
    cleaning.

    MAX FLOW BYPASS

    The Ecoprotector has a max flow
    bypass that allows water to discharge
    freely over the weir during large
    stormwater inflows to prevent flow
    restriction.

    OIL CAPTURE

    Captured hydrocarbons rise to the
    surface of the storage chamber and are
    retained without resuspension during
    high flow events.

The horizontal retention tanks can be installed at the final point of the system for storage and can be customized with baffles, pumping stations, and pressurization to meet specific needs. Baffles can be installed in the tanks to slow down the water flow and increase settling time, ensuring that solids settle to the bottom and do not accumulate at the outlet. Pumping stations can also be added to ensure effluent is discharged at the required flow rate.

Pipework placement is also critical for efficiency of the retention systems. The pipework can be installed to direct water flow and enhance the retention time.

Additionally, pressurization can be utilized to maximize the available space in the retention tank, enabling the storage of higher volumes of stormwater or wastewater.

    The Hydrovault can be designed to incorporate an inlet macerator and pump well for applications where discharge to the higher outlet is required. The pump well can be fitted with guide rails, valves, and internal pipework to site requirements.
